These are the musical guests for a Palena Sustainable Agriculture Fair.  Chile will squeeze breath from windpipes, as it does with its most treasured instrument.  My hands were clumsy wrecks as I tried to play broken Yann Tiersen songs on the accordion.  They didn't fit with the Musica Folklorica of this small town, and the men kindly said to keep practicing.  The men in Palena pass the instrument around like a cup of mate.  Each one contributes to one large mesmerizing ballad.
